The Two Quilt Blocks Used

California Crossroads BlockHourglass Quilt Block Here’s a trio of patterns – two quilt blocks that can be assembled individually, for any project you like, and a large quilt that incorporates both designs (shown above). The blocks finish at 10-inches square and the quilt measures about 70" x 90". Add borders or alter the block count to make a quilt of a different size. Both quilt blocks are easy to assemble – no triangles, just straight-sided patches that can be rotary cut and strip pieced. The “chain” configuration emerges in the diagonal pathways of the quilt.
